Wind Power Application:
LEOG has witnessed the entire process of China’s wind power generation industry, from its infancy to prosperity, from scarcity to wide application. During this process, LEOG was the first to complete the import substitution of the auxiliary motors for wind turbines, thereby promoting the development of China’s wind power industry. Its pitch motors, yaw motors, lubrication motors and cooling motors have held a leading position in the market for a long time.

Wind turbine in Europe
In April 2025, it was reported that GE vernova recently signed a cooperation agreement with Spanish developer Forestalia, providing it with 8 onshore wind turbines of 6.1MW-158, with a total installed capacity of 48MW.

Wind Turbine in Japan
In January 2025, it was reported that GE Vernova recently signed a contract to supply 14 wind turbines ranging from 4.2MW to 117m for the Iwaya and Shitsukari wind farms developed by Eurus near Toto in Japan. The total installed capacity of the project is 51.5MW and it is planned to be put into commercial operation in 2028.

Wind Turbine in Africa
In July 2025, Goldwind Technology assisted the GOSII project expansion project in Egypt to achieve full grid connection four months ahead of schedule. A total of 20 Goldwind GWH182-7.5MW units were installed in the project. As a result, the total installed capacity of the GOSII project has reached 650MW, making it the largest operational wind farm in Africa and also the wind farm with the largest single-unit capacity in Africa. This has once again raised the banner for the development of new energy in Africa.
The expansion project adopted the GWH182-7.5MW unit of Goldwind Science & Technology, which is currently the largest unit in operation in Africa. Its dust-proof system and heat dissipation design have been specially optimized, enabling it to operate efficiently and stably in extreme environments such as high temperatures and sandstorms in the Gulf of Suez region.

Wind Turbine in Chile
In March 2025, Goldwind Technology entered into a cooperation agreement with ENGIE Chile, providing 22 sets of GWH182-7.5MW wind turbines for its Pemuco Wind Farm. The project is located 47 kilometers south of Chillan City in Chile, with a total installed capacity of 165MW. It is the first wind farm in the Nuble region of Chile. According to estimates, after the project is put into operation, the green electricity generated will meet the electricity needs of 100,000 households in southern Chile and reduce carbon emissions by 40,000 tons annually. Chile has set a green development goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. By 2030, the proportion of renewable energy in the country’s total power generation will reach 80%.
The GWH182-7.5MW wind turbine used in the Pemuco wind farm project is the largest single-unit wind turbine in this region. It is also the first 18x-level onshore wind turbine in the world to obtain DNV type certification, and has received the EPD Italy environmental product declaration (EPD) certification issued by ICMQ (Italian Quality Certification Institute). During its entire life cycle, each kilowatt-hour of electricity generated emits only 3.72 grams of equivalent carbon dioxide, which is approximately 0.45% of that of thermal power.

Wind Turbine in Kazakhstan
In October 2024, the first wind turbine unit of the project in Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan was successfully lifted. This project employs 21 units of WD200-7700 from Windey Co., Ltd., which is currently the largest single-unit wind turbine in the Central Asia region. It is expected to be fully connected to the grid in early 2025, adding luster to Kazakhstan’s energy transformation process.
